The REEFER 250 G3 Deluxe is part of the third-generation (“G3”) reef-ready systems by Red Sea. The “Deluxe” version means it comes with lighting fixtures (in this case 2 × RL115) and mounting arms included, on top of the display tank, sump/cabinet, plumbing and smart features. This makes it a high-end foundation for a reef aquarium: you get the tank, stand, sump and built-in plumbing — just add your circulation, live rock, corals etc.

With 250 G3 Deluxe bundle you should expect:
The display aquarium (REEFER 250 G3) with ultra-clear rimless glass, quality build.
The marine-spec cabinet/stand (White finish) of appropriate size for the 250 model.
The in-cabinet sump + pre-glued plumbing (glass sump, mechanical/filtration chamber, return/overflow plumbing) ready for set-up. For instance: “glass sump & pre-glued plumbing” is listed in one spec.
Integrated ATO system: the G3 models include the ReefATO+ system (top-off automation, temperature monitoring, leak detection).

Construction
The G3 generation features hydrodynamically superior piping, fewer 90° turns, improved flow, quieter operation.
A “silent downflow system” — the enlarged rectangular inlet to the downflow pipe reduces turbulence and noise.
For this size (250 G3 Deluxe) the tank is rimless (models 170–350 have rimless glass, not euro-braced) which gives a clean aesthetic and premium look.
The cabinet stands on marine-spec plywood with leveling feet, epoxy-painted doors, stainless steel hinges.
The included lighting (RL115) is designed for reef use: tunable spectrum (10,000K to 23,000K), controlled via the ReefBeat app (depending on region) for schedule, lunar cycle, clouds.

Who This REEFER 250 G3 Deluxe System Is For
Reef hobbyists who want a premium, mid-sized reef display system (≈200 litre display) rather than a nano or very large tank.
Users who value quality build, integrated sump/plumbing, smart automation features and lighting included — in other words, fewer customizations and faster setup.
Those planning a moderate reef load (soft corals, LPS + some SPS) rather than extremely heavy SPS growth (unless adding extra lighting/pumps).
People with space for a display tank sized approx 90 cm+ length (35.4″ ~ 90 cm) and depth/height accordingly, and who are willing to invest in the supporting equipment and maintenance.
Installation of REEFER 250 G3 Deluxe
Space & weight: Even though it’s “mid-sized,” when you include ~200 litre display + sump + rock/substrate + full cabinet, weight will be significant. Floor must support it, level the stand using the leveling feet.
Access & ventilation: The sump and plumbing will be in the cabinet — you’ll need access for return pumps, skimmer etc, and ventilation if you add equipment that generates heat or humidity.
Lighting & aquascape: The 2 × RL115 lights included will provide good coverage, but you should confirm the depth of the display and coral types. If your rockwork is deep or many SPS are planned you may want to assess whether lighting will be sufficient or whether you’ll supplement. The spec shows PAR ~500 at surface and ~150 at ~50 cm depth for the RL115 in this size.
Circulation: Although plumbing is pre-installed, you still must select quality return pump(s), circulation/powerheads for appropriate flow. Good flow rate is important especially in reef systems.
Maintenance load & water stability: With ~200 litre display (plus sump), the system will have decent volume — which is good for stability — but you still need to monitor parameters, do water changes, keep equipment maintained.
Delivery & installation logistics: The unit will ship as a large crate. Ensure path clearance, doorway size, elevator/lift access if required. Also ensure placement is level and final location is finalized before filling.
Budget extras: Beyond the bundle you will need substrate, live rock, corals/fish, skimmer, return pump(s), circulation gear, test kits, salt, etc. Don’t forget to budget for ongoing consumption (salt, power, maintenance).
Startup period: Like all reef systems, allow time for cycling of live rock, parameter stabilization, before heavy stocking of coral/fish.
Pros:
