Description
REEFER 525 G3 Deluxe – Black (incl. 2 X RL170 & arms) Red Sea Aquarium
REEFER 525 G3 model is one of the larger tanks in the REEFER G3 line. The “Deluxe” version of this size means that the package includes not only the display tank, cabinet/stand, sump/plumbing, but also 2 × RL170 LED fixtures plus mounting arms. The “White” finish refers to the cabinet/exterior colour. It is built to serve as a high-end foundation for reef-keeping where you supply return pumps, circulation, live rock, corals, but the major infrastructure is included.
REEFER 525 G3 Deluxe - Black (incl. 2 X RL170 & arms) Red Sea Aquarium
For the 525 G3 Deluxe (Black + 2 × RL170 & arms) you should expect:
The display aquarium (525 size) built to G3 standard: euro-braced glass construction, reinforced, ultra-clear.
The cabinet/stand in Black finish — marine-spec laminated plywood, reinforced with aluminium front supports.
Integrated glass sump and factory-installed plumbing (mechanical filtration compartment, media cups, return pump chamber, overflow/return plumbing).
Lighting: 2 units of RL170 LED fixtures and the corresponding mounting arms/hardware for the White version.
Built-in automation features: the G3 systems include the “ReefATO+” system (auto top-off, temperature monitoring, leak detection) as part of the package.
The major infrastructure is included — you will still need to supply certain equipment (return pump(s), wave makers/powerheads, protein skimmer, substrate/live rock/coral, etc.).
Some notable design points:
Euro-brace & ultra-clear glass: Since the 525 size is “425 and above”, it uses euro-braced glass for structural strength.
Cabinet reinforcement: For the 525 and up, the cabinet is marine-spec plywood and is further reinforced with front aluminium supports.
Flow & plumbing system: The G3 generation includes a “silent down-flow” system (enlarged rectangular inlet), hydrodynamically superior piping, improved return outlets, precision gate valve on the drain (“ReefGate”).
Sump and filtration foundation: The system is designed as “reef-SPEC” with integrated sump chambers for mechanical filtration, skimmer chamber, return pump chamber.
Smart automation: Built-in ATO & leak detection system (ReefATO+) helps maintain water level and salinity, which is particularly useful for large reef systems.

REEFER 525 G3 Deluxe - Black (incl. 2 X RL170 & arms)
This REEFER 525 G3 Deluxe system is suitable for:
Hobbyists who want a large-volume reef display (≈ 400+ L display) and a premium build, wanting to invest in the foundations rather than having to build the tank/cabinet/plumbing from scratch.
Those planning a more advanced reef setup (SPS + LPS + significant fish load) and who require a system that has volume, strong plumbing, and durability (glass thickness, euro-brace, reinforced stand).
Users who have the space and structural support to host a large system, and who are comfortable budgeting for the additional equipment and maintenance work that a system of this size demands.

Installation
Space & Support: A tank of this size will weigh many hundreds of kilograms when filled (water + rock + substrate + equipment). Ensure your floor/support is adequate, the stand is level, and placement is final before loading with water/rock.
Footprint: The display tank length is about 150 cm and width ~60 cm (based on G2 specs) — you’ll need space for walk-around, access for maintenance, and clearance for cabinet doors/servicing.
Lighting Mount & Coverage: With 2 × RL170 lights included, you have higher-output lighting, which is good for deeper aquascapes or higher light corals. But you should confirm mounting height, spread, and ensure your rock height and coral placement fit within the effective light coverage.
Circulation & Equipment: Although the plumbing is built in, you still need to select the return pump(s), wave makers/powerheads, and skimmer appropriate for the volume and intended coral/fish load. Good flow is vital.
Maintenance & Monitoring: Larger tanks give more stability but also higher cost (salt, electricity, rock, coral, equipment). Regular monitoring of parameters (alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrates, phosphates) and maintenance (water changes, cleaning) are still essential.
Delivery & Setup Logistics: A large system like this likely comes in a big crate. Ensure path to room is clear (doors, lifts), plan for leveling, set-up, filling, rockwork, and plumbing before stocking.
Budget for Extras: The “Deluxe” package covers many items, but you still need to budget for substrate, live rock, corals/fish, test kits, return pumps, wave makers, skimmer, controllers, etc.
Startup & Patience: Once setup, you’ll still need to cycle the tank, allow rockwork to mature, and ramp up coral stocking gradually.

Pros:
Premium build quality: large volume, reinforced glass/cabinet, integrated plumbing and sump, strong foundation.
Included lighting (2 × RL170) in the bundle gives higher output, which is valuable for advanced reef setups.
Smart automation (ATO/leak detection) included which helps with large-scale reef reliability.
Large display volume gives you room to grow, more flexibility in coral/rockwork choice, and stability advantages compared to smaller tanks.
