• Complex aquascapes, plenty of room for branching corals, large fish species, open water area.

• The “Peninsula” shape allows showcasing from multiple angles — good for a centerpiece in a living room or open plan area.

• Hobbyists who want factory-plumbed convenience but still fancy high-performance hardware and eventually add controllers, reactors, wave makers, etc.

Installation 

• Weight & structural support: Once filled with ~250 US gallons (≈ 950 L) including water, live rock, substrate etc., the system will weigh many hundreds of kilograms. Ensure floor or platform can handle it, and verify doorway access, path clearance.

• Floor space & depth: The footprint (~200 cm × 68 cm) plus cabinet and clearance around it means you need significant space. Depth of 26.8″ (~68 cm) is substantial.

• Cabinet ventilation & access: With large sumps and potentially many pieces of equipment (skimmer, chillers, reactors, dosing pumps), ensure the cabinet has good ventilation and you provide space behind or beside for service.

• Lighting mounting clearance: The RL170S fixtures will produce intense light and heat — ensure adequate clearance above the tank for mounting, heat dissipation, access.

• Plumbing & returns: Although the plumbing is pre-installed, you still must select return pump(s), wave makers/powerheads, manage plumbing to chillers or reactors if used.

• Livestock loading & maintenance: A big system means more maintenance — water changes, parameter monitoring, coral fragging, fish care — be prepared. The built-in ATO will help with evaporation, but you still need regular water chemistry checks.

• Budget & running costs: Beyond initial purchase, factor in electricity (lights + pumps + heating/cooling), salt & water changes, test kits, replacement media, coral/rock cost.

• Shipping & delivery: Large systems like this often ship in crates, may require forklift, large delivery team. Ensure location is accessible, path from street to installation location is clear.

• Aesthetics & environment: These large displays are often placed centrally — ensure ambient lighting, UV/exposure, traffic, cleaning access are considered.
