The portable Checker® HI774 colorimeter offers a simple, fast, and precise way to measure phosphate in aquariums, marine systems, including coral reef tanks. Phosphate is an important parameter to measure in aquaculture and aquariums. Excessively high levels can lead to algae overgrowth, deplete dissolved oxygen levels, and ultimately may be fatal for many types of fish and aquatic life.

Hanna Information: A reading of 0.50 ppm phosphate is equal to 0.163 ppm or 163 ppb of phosphorus.
