With EHEIM thermocontrol+ e, we offer you the aquarium heater of the future. Intelligent and ingeniously designed.
The EHEIM ThermoControl+ e 150 W is a “smart” aquarium heater with integrated Wi-Fi control. It allows you to set and monitor temperature via smartphone/tablet/PC, get alerts if something goes wrong, and synchronize with other EHEIM.digital devices.
Key Features
Precise temperature adjustment: you can set temperature between 18°C and 32°C.
Control accuracy is about ± 0.5°C.
If actual temperature deviates by more than ± 2°C from the set point, the device can send an email notification.
Can sync with other EHEIM.digital ecosystem devices (e.g. EHEIM Professionel 5e filter, LEDcontrol+e). For example, adjusting set temperature based on lighting or filter activity.
Fully submersible (IP-rated, waterproof) with a mark on the heater showing the maximum water level for best WiFi performance ≈ keep the red WiFi button above the water line.
Has dry-run protection (“Thermo Safety Control”) to prevent overheating / damage if it's not fully submerged.

Limitations when using EHEIM thermocontrol+ e 150 W
Even though it can be precisely controlled, there is no cooling feature. If ambient temperature goes high, the heater can't reduce temperature, only stop heating.
For best WiFi performance, part of the unit (the red WiFi-button part) must stay above water. Total immersion may degrade signal.
As with all aquarium heaters, proper placement (near water flow) matters to distribute heat evenly.
Because it is a more “smart” device, you may need to handle firmware/app setup, WiFi configuration, etc. Users sometimes note extra steps compared to simple heaters. (I can pull some user reviews if you want.)

Adjustment and control
The EHEIM thermocontrol+ e 150W aquarium heater is the advanced development of the thermocontrol e heater. Unlike the latter, it is not set manually, but programmed and monitored wirelessly via WLAN and by smartphone, tablet or PC/MAC.
It can be accurately set from 18 to 32 °C. If the set temperature ever deviates by +/-2 degrees, you will receive an e-mail notification, provided you have stored a corresponding address.
Synchronisation with other devices
A special highlight is that the thermocontrol+ e can be synchronised with other devices in the Eheim Digital Family such as the EHEIM professionel 5e filter or the lighting control LEDcontrol+. You can therefore specify that the set temperature rises or falls when, for example, the filter flow (in bio mode) increases or decreases or the LED lighting is switched off or on.
Example: The filter flow is increased at night and the lighting is switched off. The set temperature is automatically adjusted accordingly: 25 °C during the day; 23 °C at night. (Please note: Water is not cooled down - the heater has no integrated cooling).
WLAN-connection
The thermocontrol+ e is waterproof and fully submersible. For an optimal WLAN connection, however, the heater may only be immersed up to the "water level" mark.
For the security of your device, every EHEIM thermocontrol+ e 150 W is encrypted ex works (password can be adjusted). After setting the desired temperature, the wifi network can be switched off.
