The EHEIM Thermocontrol+ e 250W is a digital, WiFi-enabled aquarium heater for medium to large tanks. It allows remote temperature setting, monitoring, and alerts, and integrates with the EHEIM Digital ecosystem (filters, lighting, etc.).

• Temperature range: you can set between 18 °C and 32 °C.

• High precision control: approx ± 0.5 °C regulation accuracy.

• Alerts: If the actual temperature deviates more than ± 2 °C from the set point, the heater will send an email notification.

Limitations

• Like all heaters, it cannot cool water. If ambient temperature rises, you’ll need external cooling.

• WiFi signal can be weaker if the WiFi module (red button part) is submerged. It’s designed so only the portion up to a mark should be in water for good signal.

• Because it's more advanced and “smart,” setup (WiFi configuration, firmware, synchronisation) may be more complex than for a simpler non-WiFi heater.

• Higher price compared to basic fixed or preset heaters due to added features.

• Dependency on electronic components: more parts that could potentially fail (WiFi, sensors, control logic). It’s good practice to have a backup or monitor independently.
