Indicator resin 730 g – ca. 1000 ml 

The Indicator resin 730 g approximately 1000 ml by Aqua Medic it's an ion exchange resin with colour indicator.

Used to remove the last remaining pollutants from RO water, by using ion exchange resin as the final stage on a reverse osmosis unit. It reduces the growth of diatom, if silicate levels in tap water are too high.

The resin is placed in designated cartridges (e.g. Aqua Medic demineralization filter, Aqua Medic platinum line plus, Top End Filter, RO-resin cartridge or other commercially available ultrapure water filters) after the reverse osmosis units. How much the osmosis water is freed from the ions that are still present depends on the residual salt content and the flow rate.

This Indicator resin 730 g – ca. 1000 ml by Aqua Medic is particularly beneficial for aquariums where high-quality water is crucial, such as reef tanks or planted freshwater setups.

Depending on the residual salt content and the flow rate, the osmosis water is released from remaining ions.

• Mixed Bed Demineralizer: Mixed bed demineralizer for removing silicate, nitrate and other ions from osmosis water. The special silicate resin helps to limit the growth of diatoms, especially for the aquarium hobby. Combines both cation and anion exchange resins to effectively reduce the concentration of unwanted ions in the water.

• Silicate Removal: Specifically formulated to eliminate silicates, which are known to promote the growth of diatoms in aquariums. By removing these silicates, the resin helps in controlling diatom blooms.

• Color Change Indicator: Equipped with a built-in color indicator that signals when the resin's capacity is exhausted. As the resin depletes, it transitions from blue to green, indicating the need for replacement.

• Non-Rechargeable: Designed for single-use; once the resin has changed color, it should be replaced rather than regenerated.

• Packaging: Comes in a lockable bag to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.

• Safety Information: Contains styrene-divinylbenzene copolymers with trialkylammonium and sulfonic acid groups. Handling precautions include wearing protective gloves and eye/face protection, as it may cause serious eye damage. In case of contact, rinse eyes immediately and seek medical attention.
